Feeling Whole

Is Your Birthright

The painting you see above is entitled: ‘Cape Horizons.’ It was painted by my dear and multi-talented friend Stephen Cowan. It’s a collage and paint composition that really speaks to me.

There’s a resonance with the collaborative process of healing. In this work, like in life, the small pieces that are torn, broken, and colored come together into a beautiful and expansive whole.

When we attend to the broken parts of ourselves with skillful compassion, our horizons become more visible, and the beauty and strength we possess is accessible to us. It becomes expressed in how we care for ourselves and each other.

Coming to therapy is a vital and optimistic step toward healing and solutions. In our work together, we will get to know each other well. Our confidential conversations may include hypnosis, counseling, and meditative approaches to improve your mental health. While our work is evidence-based, we will tailor it to your needs and strengths. I offer individual and group therapy, meditation groups, and 1:1 meditation support. If you are working with a therapist and want to add meditation or hypnosis to your work, I’m happy to collaborate with you. I offer appointments in-person in my office in Ridgefield, CT. I also offer virtual appointments for your convenience.

“My son was out of school for a year with debilitating headaches from a concussion. For months he lay on the floor unable to engage in anything because of the pain. We had tried multiple treatments from medications and vitamins to acupuncture and physical therapy. Kathy’s skill with hypnosis is what allowed him to finally reenter the world, and now he is again thriving in every way. We are forever grateful.”

A meditation for self compassion

I allow myself to be imperfect.

I allow myself to make mistakes.

I allow myself to be a learner in life

I forgive myself

May I be free.
