Meditation Offerings

There are many benefits to meditation. It can improve your mental health, increase your concentration, and increase your ability to handle stress. It has even been shown to lower high blood pressure and reduce cortisol levels (a stress hormone) in the body. Here are some meditation offerings to help you get started. Whether you are new to meditation or have some meditation experience and would like to deepen or improve your practice feel free to reach out for extra support in a group or on a one on one basis.

One on one Meditation Support

Is your meditation practice working for you? Have you tried meditation apps only to give up? Do you feel more anxious or depressed after your practice? You may benefit from personal meditation support. Learn the principles of Trauma sensitive meditation practice with safe, supportive teaching to get your practice back on track.

Group Offerings

Sunday Morning Women’s Meditation:  With a unique blend of poetry, meditation practice, and a strong community, you will learn to enhance your existing practice. This is an ongoing, weekly meditation group. Prior meditation experience and an interview with me are required for this group. Call or email for information.

Mindful Curious: Have you been curious about the benefits of mindfulness? This 6-week class introduces the students to mindfulness and its uses in an interactive group that combines teaching, brief mindfulness instruction, and conversation that will help you develop mindfulness in your day-to-day life. This group runs throughout the year. Call or email for information and start dates. 

Mindful Parenting: Good parenting is essential for those of us with children. In this 6-week class, you will learn skills that will help you:

  • Parent with more patience and connection

  • Learn mindful strategies (no cushion required) to enhance your and your children's confidence and resilience

  • Gain support and community with other parents
